Hello,

This posting is a small breach of list etiquette, and I normally would
wouldn't post a for-sale item on this list, but I think this one is kind of
special. I was showing my TR-3A at a local car show when approached by a
gentleman who has a neighbor looking to sell his original-owner TR-2 due to
an anticipated move to Colorado. It turns out to be a 1954 long door TR2,
TS 141 L. That's right: 141. He claims it was the first one in the LA
area. The car is in Orange, CA - about 30 miles South of LA. Although it
needs a complete restoration, it's in pretty good shape, no rust as far as I
could tell during a cursory inspection (except for the seat pans; couldn't
really get to the floor boards, but I assume if the seat pans are rusty, so
are the floor boards). The down side to this car is that the engine was
replaced many years ago with a TR-3 engine. He still has most of the
original TR-2 engine laying around in the garage.

I have no interest in taking on another project at this time, but if anyone
is interested drop me a line off-list and I'll provide more details and the
name and number of the owner. I have absolutely no financial interest in
any possible transaction. I just would hate to see that car get lost in the
shuffle.

Dennis
