My 1960 TR3A has the antenna mounted on the rear valence. Although a good spot if you want to use it to fly a pennant or flag, it interferes with putting on the top or tonneau cover. But it has the added "advantage" of having almost the maximum lead run of any conceivable location. The only reason I still have the antenna there is I don't want a hole.
