According to TRA's Concours guide the flat glass on the minor gauges was
introduced about 1/4 of the way through the TR4s production at approximately
CT11000.   TR4s prior to that commission number and all of the side screen
cars had the convex glass with their fully exposed needles.  The Lucas made
ammeter gauge was date of manufacture (month & year) stamped on the side of
the case.
