TR3 Seat Frame

Hi All
I'm about to recover the seats in my TR3A.
it looks to me like a passenger seat frame would fit
just as well on the drivers side.  
Is this correct?

If so is there somewhere I might get a good used one
rather than spend the $250 for a new one?
