I've seen so many brass compression nuts thoroughly buggered by first rounding with an open-end wrench then knurled with vice grips that I was trying to make it easy to tighten and disassemble. Since it is a union of dissimilar metals I used teflon tape rather than anti-seize. Geo Hahn |
