Check at your local auto parts store for spray "carb cleaner" that has methylene chloride in it. (Some do, some don't, Gumout doesn't.) It will soften cork (as well as paint, etc., so be careful with it). While you're there, pick up a gasket scraper. In a pinch, I use my pocketknife as a gasket scraper, but you have to be careful not to gouge the surface. Randall |
