If you are going to the work of dismantling your leaf springs there is
another technigue to improve their performance. Get a drum sander for
your electric drill. Using medium grit sanding drums sand the leaf
spring contact surfaces lengthwise. This will smooth the contact
surfaces and give them a "matching" grain. Then grease them before
reassembly.
