Not really extreme conditions but . . .
When I was in graduate school and just married (1967) I was working full
time, in school full time (no Nam for me) yada, yada. So I usually was writing
up
cases (MBA) at the last minute. They had to be typed; so my lovely bride would
sit on the back seat (AKA "ledge") of the '4, lean the passenger seat back
forward, put the typewriter on the seat back. I would dictate my case analysis
and she would type. All this while doing 70 mph+ on the Denver-Boulder
Turnpike. Got some decent grades and graduated.
