All this carping about cold. :-)
Minnesota has gotten off pretty easy the last few years. It was not always
this way. I was at an ice-race weekend in Brainerd in the early 70s when
the overnight low was minus 54 degrees F. That's not a wind chill factor.
That's a temperature. Some of our Canadian and Alaskan friends can easily
top that story, of course.
