Last Saturday afternoon, Santa Claus took an hour off at a very busy time to
pay a pre-Dec 25 visit to the town of Chipping Campden in the UK Cotswolds
region for a Victorian Christmas Street Market event.
With a luggage boot crammed full with an overweight sack of goodies, old SC
roared down the street (as a passenger) to the ancient Market Hall, pausing
briefly at the mulled wine stall so that he and driver (the undersigned)
could partake in some mulled wine - and 'Canley Girl' had some too! We
tipped a bit in the screenwash reservoir and everything was fine for a while
until a piece of cinnamon most obligingly but inconveniently blocked the
pump inlet.
I'm pleased to report that SC had a successful trip, took home some
important last minute letters - and 'CG' is now widdling again like a good
'un.
