As I recall, these were a: unsightly; and b: almost as good as the
antennas
actually imbedded into the windshield. The latter was something that, as
I
recall, Pontiac tried and so did Volvo. They were not outstanding in
performance.

What do you mean they were not outstanding in performance? As long as
you were driving toward the transmitter, they worked fine. On a date,
you had to park in the right orientation so that you could enjoy your
"tunes" while making out! :)
