Hi listers
As you may recall, I've been looking for a pair of magnesium 8-spoke wheels
(a.k.a. "Silverstones" or dealer option V387) to complete a set for my TR4.
Well, I found 'em... except that they are the TR250 version, whereas the two I
already had were the TR4/4A version. Very similar in most respects, but the
TR250 wheels are 1" wider (15x6" vs 15x5", measured at the beads), have no
threads for fake knockoffs, and have a raised rim at the edge of the outer lip
where the TR4 wheels are flat. In other words, just different enough to catch
my eye. Dang.
So. Anybody else out there have a mis-matched set? I'd like to trade one pair
or the other to make a matched set.
I would also consider selling the TR250 wheels outright at $250 each, since I
know of a guy who has TR4 wheels at that price.
The condition of all four wheels is pretty good, considering their age. The
TR4 wheels have their original "Nokof" brand fake knockoffs, but one has
slightly bent ears. The TR250 wheels look like they have never had tires
mounted on them. No cracks.
I can email photos, measurements, and more detailed descriptions to anyone who
is interested.
