Diagnose your problem, either bad rings or bad valve guides/seals, with
a dry/wet compression test.  Test the compression for each cylinder dry
then add two squirts of oil to each cylinder and test it again.  If the
compression for any cylinder raises by more than 10% you have bad
rings.  If not the problem is valve guides and stems.
