I am rebuilding a fuel pump for my TR6. I have botched the installation of
the retainer cap that holds the oil seal for the diaphragm pushrod in place.
I attempted to press it in by pounding it in place with a socket. This
deformed the reatainer so that it's too small to be held in place with an
interference fit. Before I order another, can anybody give me tips on how to
fit this part? Unfortunately, I don't have a press.
