Moss burl walnut dash. Problems

Hello. Broke out my new burl walnut dash I purchase March 2002 (big bucks 
dash). On going TR 250 project. This is a new moss dash. Made in UK. Problem is 
the holes for the small gauges are cut alitlle to big. I install a thick o-ring 
and still looks like shit. Anyone else have this problem?  Thanks John
