Richard, after watching (and more importantly listening) to your video, I'm
convinced you just aren't getting enough current to the starter to turn the
engine against compression.
Instead of using jumper cables, try using honest battery cables, bolted
together. Use the original solenoid (if you have one) for the switch. The
original battery cables will also work fine, if you can get the battery
close enough to bolt the ground strap to the engine block or starter. If
not, a 36" ground cable should only be a few bucks at Autozone.
There may also be some reason your compression is higher than expected ...
is the motor stock ? Any chance there is fluid of some sort in the
cylinders ?
