I'm having difficulty getting my car running smoothly.
The motor is freshly rebuilt, I have new triple weber
carbs, and new lumenition ignition. The carbs check
out, mechanically everything is good (compression,
cam timing, valve lash), fuel and cooling are fine. The
only unknown is the lumenition. The car starts but won't
stay running and doesn't idle. I have a mechanic with
me who knows weber carbs and is helping with the
setup, so the carburetion is under control. The problems
I'm having seem to be timing related. Difficult to explain,
but does anyone know of any issues with lumenition
ignition, the rotor used, and the phase of the rotor
with respect to the chopper. We suspect problems in
this area.

Request: If there is a list member who lives in the San Jose
Ca area, who would be up for swapping there point/
condenser distributor for a quick test, I would very
much appreciate it.

TIA,
David
