71 MPG in a TR2

Listers:

In Bill Piggott's book "Triumph By Name, Triumph By Nature", he states that
the outright winner of the 1955 Mobile Economy Run (only "FT" and I are old
enough to remember them) was a TR2 certified to have achieved 71 MPG.

That could be someone's project over the week end to verify that claim!
