Yes Nicolas that just about sums up the Marina GT. I owned a Marina HL once
(the four door version)
A little known fact is that the first ones produced had the MGB engine
fitted, later ones were similar but not exactly the same. Still had the same
exhaust sound, like blowing across the top of a bottle, as the MGB.
Great in a straight line but owing to the 'parts bin' technology that was
used to produce these cars it was crap on corners. Another little known
fact, the four speed TR7s had Marina axles and gearboxes fitted!
