IMO, it's still the battery.  If the car has not been started for 3 to 6
mos and you did not disconnect the battery,   
the charge in the battery will almost always erode to the point where
there isn't enough reserve to start the car.  It will light the lights
and turn the engine once or twice but then it's kaput.  Check the fluid
in the battery, top up, clean the terminals and give the battery a deep
24 hour charge.   If it still won't go, hook up your every day driver's
battery and try it...bet it starts.  Aside from corrosion on grounds,
etc, nothing much is going to happen to your coil or distributor if you
aren't driving the car
