So, when running, black smoke and all sorts of crap was coming out of the
tailpipe. I have put the new head on and no more black smoke, but there it
still crap coming out, I am assuming this is the crap that built up in the
exaust system over time. Short of replacing the exaust because I have do
an
emmision test on her, does anyone have any ideas to clean out the system?
She is currently _not_ plated so a high sped trip down the highway is out
of
the question. High idle for a while?

You didn't say what kind of crap you are getting out of the exhaust. If it
is particulate matter it may not show up on an emissions test anyway. If
you are concerned about the residual build-up in the eshaust, my esperience
is that it will burn off in about 10 to 15 minutes of normal driving. A
high idle may get the exhaust hot enough to burn off most of what will burn
off but it may take some full throttle bursts to blow the ash, etc. out the
back.

Worth a try, at any rate.

Dave.
