You are right in your thinking that the convex glass gauges was not for a 4A.
In fact, according to TRA's judging guide, the flat glass came in relatively
early in the TR4's run at CT11308. Other than not being correct for the car
there is no difference in readability or performance. Does the tach have just
a red line or is the entire 5 to 6 area red? If it is just a red line then
the tach is not correct for the 4A.
