I have never been convinced that slight difference in grille opening is going to
have much affect on cooling.
There are several things that can be done to improve air-flow and cooling that
seem to me to have much more benefit.
OTOH, I do recall the first time I met Bob Schaller was at the '87 TRA... he had
just driven in from Phoenix (to Ohio) and had a 6" x 18" hole cut in the grille
of his TR3. He did it en route to get more cooling at speed. Of course he was
crossing Texas in 100 degree heat pulling his TRailer.
