I've had good sucess with a 50% 50% mix of automatic transmission fluid and
mineral sprits ( AKA stoddard solvent, paint thinner, safety solvent). Both
are availible in great quanities in a normal auto repair shop and only take a
second to mix up.
A bit of heat in the right spot works wonders. Oxygen/propane or Oxygen
accetelene are better since they apply lots of heat quickly. A regular torch
( not a flashlight for out Brit readers ;+) tends to heat everything up
slowly.
For bolts the trick is to heat the nut but not allow the bolt to reach the
same temprature. Still, any heat is better than none.
