Garth, reminds me of a story I heard a few years ago on the 2002list
about late model BMW's. Seems that if an all-power-equipped BMW
drove off a bridge into the water and lost power, the passengers
couldn't get out as they sank because the doors only unlock under
power, the windows only lower under power, and the sunroof only
opens under power. So the engineers installed a manual cranking
mechanism for the sunroof. They included the crank itself with the
rest of the tools in the toolkit. In the trunk.
