Maybe the pinion bearings are no longer 'pre-loaded' (worn down) and 
vibrating about and causing your seal to leak when in motion - and drip at 
rest. (can you pull input flange in and out?) Or perhaps oil is seeping 
through the splined input flange connection, past the big washer and nut - 
can you trace where exactly leak is coming from? (maybe a little silicon 
gasket sealer under big nut and washer would do the trick?)
