Subject: The Red Car

> Hi all, Reading the posts about " The Last Open Road ", reminded me of the
novel which started me on LBC's. " The Red Car " is about a young man in the
rockies, who buys a wrecked MG TC, restores it, and ends up organizing and
running in a SCCA race in his hometown. Ring a bell with any one ? First
published in the fifties , I think.

I remember a book I read around that time, it had an MG that was wrecked, a
parts car that was burned out, a wisened old mechanic/race car driver, a
race that had 2 people in the car and ended with the kid hanging onto the
bumper that was falling off the car. Is that the same book? I don't know
what I remember that, I can't remember what I'm supposed to do today. Maybe
because I only read 2 books back then.
