Another thing to be aware of is Volvo used 3 or 4 different versions of 
the laycock overdrive D-type, J-type, and M-type seem to ring a bell but 
don't quote me on that. I was once offered one out of a late 60's Volvo 
but I found out it was the same model overdrive as the early MGBs used I 
don't remember which model that i off the top of my head. When I was 
looking for info on Volvo overdrives a few years ago I found a very good 
Volvo site that detailed all the permutations and combinations that 
Volvo used do a search on Volvo and overdrive and see what info you come 
up with.
