Ed, the advantage of the 160 is that it gives you a larger margin between
where the thermostat opens, and where the coolant boils.  This can help if
your "creeping up" problem is of limited duration, like only when stopped at
a stop light.  However if the problem is while cruising, then the 160 will
not help.

If your carb needles and jets have not been replaced within recent memory,
it may be worth replacing them.  Also check that the dashpots move freely
(no rubbing whatsoever) and that the springs inside them are in good shape.
