Part number 155985.... Honestly...after unwrapping it ....
the wiring layout looks more like it was for a J type.
... power down to the gearbox switch, then to the gear lever
O/D switch, and then on to the solenoid. No provisions
for any relay wiring.

were late model D types ever configured without a relay?
