Ok, I'm not familiar with the Pertronix, but I'm willing to be educated. As
you move the pickup around on the point plate, it clearly will affect the
relationship of the rotor to the cap when the ignition fires. Adjusting the
timing by turning the dizzy body won't change/correct that relationship.
Crane calls this 'phasing', and it's an important part of getting a Crane to
work right. Why isn't it important with a Pertronix ?
