Bill, I can't help with your other questions, but this seems a bit of a red
flag to me. With no oil pressure under load, it's only a matter of seconds
until bearing damage. I'll let others comment on what TR6 maladies might
cause this symptom (loose oil pump pickup ?), but IMO you shouldn't ignore
it.
And since the TR6 uses a mechanical oil pressure gage, this is unlikely to
be a bad connection or electrical problem.
