My '64 TR4 has amber turn signal lenses on all four corners - I bought
the car in Germany while I was in the US Army and imported it into the
US when I was discharged. I think cars were fitted with what ever
details were required by the local govt. regulations. My TR4 also has an
unusual combination steering column/ignition switch lock of German
manufacture, under the dash on the steering column. It was installed at
the factory per the BMIHT certificate. For many years, until I bought a
BMIHT certificate, I thought the lock was added by the German dealer.
By the way, the "normal" place for the ignition switch on the dash
plinth, was simply left as an open, unused hole. I installed a 4 way
hazard flasher from JCWhitney in this hole shortly after I bought the
car while still in Germany - it's still there to this day.
