<What do you all think the max advance should be for a TR6 motor fairly
warmed up?>
I have known a number of TR6 owners that run very advanced. I have a stock
1971 and am currently running 10BTDC. The basic test for too much advance
is to accelerate at full throttle in 4th gear from 30MPH to 50MPH. If it
does not ping, it is not too far advanced. I also do a test accelerating at
full throttle at about 65-70MPH.
