"SMOOOOOOTH" is the correct word for this engine, started it yesterday and let
it run up to temp and then about 10 minutes beyond, that was enough for me for
one day, went early this a/m did the same thing, then let it cool down and
went for a break in ride of almost 40 miles, retorqued the head (hot) and then
readjusted the valves (semi hot), could not believe how much both of these
needed readjusting, the valves are now much quieter and she has plenty of get
up & go, I feel a lots better today then I did yesterday, if anyone ever needs
advice on how and what is the correct way on installing "figure 8" gaskets in
a T/R 4 cyc. I am now a expert on this, maybe Vern Brannon could make me a
panel advisor on this subject. "FT"
