Another option is to write the MPEG file on a CD, that can be shipped
around. Not as convenient of course, but IMO a viable option for those
without high speed Internet access. The size of a MPEG file varies
considerably, but 10 Mb per minute is pretty typical for the MPEG-3 format
at high compression and fairly low resolution. Thus download times can run
from half an hour up, for each minute of video on a dial-up connection, but
you can get close to an hour of video on a CD.
