Sorry to bug the list with another question that was recently answered, but
I lost the answer given to another lister.
For ZS 175's, which direction am I to turn the mixture screws on the needles
to make the mixture leaner?
My car drives great, but has the following unwanted symptoms:
1 - strong smell of unburnt fuel
2 - black exhaust tailpipe (but no smoke or really dirty rear valence)
3 - 14.5 mpg (50/50 city and highway)!!
4 - pretty good idle at around 800-900 rpm
5 - starts easily after around 1 -> 1 1/2 seconds
Oh yes, other factors: 6-1 header, K&N filters, slightly warmed cam, XR-700
ignition, ballasted coil.
I thought I would start with leaning the mixture out a bit, hence the
question of adjustment direction. I have the special tool. Any other ideas
are welcome.
