These dates are similar to my TR, built 24/5/74, shipped 30/9/74,
registered 13/3/75.
I had assumed that this was due to Triumph building up a stock of
Tr's to cover the long gap in production for the UK market in 1975.
Interesting to see that the same thing was happening to saloon cars.
Was this a deliberate policy by Triumph, or had the new car market
dried up in 1974?
Now I'm curious.
