I carry a top dist. plate with the points, condenser & rotor installed, if
failure occurs roadside only 2 screws in & out, cheap, easy and quick. "FT"
Since I've recently converted the TR3A back to points from the Allison that
went south, I've thought that I should locate a dist. top plate to mount the
points and condensor for a spare. Does anyone know where I may find one? Is
just the top plate available from any sources, or do I need to locate an
entire old distributor to cannabalize only the top plate. Anyone have only
the top plate willing to part with.
By the way, I am quite satisfied with the points set up, as compared to the
Allison.
Best Regards,
Ed ('58 TR3A)
