I just rebuilt and reinstalled my distributor in my 3 and had a great drive
this afternoon, real strong. I noticed though that under load, up hills in
higher gears there was a good amount of pinging going on. I'm running fresh
93+ octane, with an occaisional bottle of booster. I tried retarding the
timing a bit on the vacuum after a quick drive, but it didn't seem to do
much. I read that every "mark/click/groove" is equal to 2 degrees. Is a few
clicks enough or should I "experiment" with more than a few. Just wondering
if I need to do a full revolution or what? TIA, appreciate the help.
