Stan: I checked the TR6 parts car and the hole appears to have what's left of a rubber plug in it. The TRF parts manual shows a 5/16" rubber plug for "blanking small hole in bulkhead shelf above accelerator pedal on U.S. models", 1 req'd, p/n 603790. (see pg 473, item 19). BTW, I'm pretty sure the same hole appears on TR250s as well and also has a plug listed for it. Maybe the hole has a use on non-US models.
