Hi Fred
Do you have a normal camera (I guess you do as you mention a scanner,
presumably for scanning photo's) I would suggest you need something to
compare with that. We use Canon 1000FN 35mm kit with tele lenses etc, and
found that a point and squirt digital camera fell far short of our
photographic requirements, we ended up with a digital with a zoom, now we
are happy with our kit. My parents have a point and squirt 35mm camera and
have been more than happy with a point and squirt digital camera.
Horses for courses as they say.
If you are looking to print your pics out then the more Megapixels you can
afford the better the end result will be, we have a 3Megapixels camera and
results are almost indistinguishable from 35mm prints, I believe I saw
5Megapixels for about the same as we paid for 3Megapixels last year. Doesn't
technology fly at the moment!!

Graham

I'm looking to purchase a digital camera and would like some advice as to
which to get, I only use it at shows and will be getting a scanner for the
P/C, so I do not think I am in need of a high end, but I would like
something
above the $1.49 price range, remember I have the expense of maintaing a LBC.
Thanks for your help "FT"
