I would definitely start by making sure it's not the oil pressure gage ! I
keep a spare, cheap aftermarket mechanical oil pressure gage around for just
such problems.
Then look at the oil pressure limit valve, which is in the oil filter head
on TRs (I assume it's the same for the Fergie).
Unfortunately, one possible failure is the outer rotor of the oil pump
cracking, which will still deliver some oil, just not enough ...
