Thanks, Jim. An MGA driver (site below) mentions SP4N's but says they went
out of production "about two years ago...." He writes "I now use the newer
Dunlop SP20 165R15" and it looks like he considered them to be comparable.

He might be wrong about the "out of production" part since the SP4N still
appears on the http://www.dunloptire.com/ site. OTOH you might want to
take a look at this link to a lawsuit related to design problems. The lawsuit
followed an accident in a '79 MG FWIW:

In any case, thanks for the comments, sounds like the SP20 could be a fair
choice for me -- at least till XZX's go on sale at Costco.
