Seems to me a clever person could probably fabricate an oversize pin,
perhaps even oval if that's the way the bush is worn ... dowel pins are
available in a wide variety of diameters (including metric) from MMC, and
even the hardened ones can be worked with a Dremel tool and some patience
...
