I have a converted TR6. You will need to change camshafts, mill the head to
increase compression ratio, and install high pressure fuel lines. You can
get away without a baffled fuel tank if you keep it 1/4 full (or avoid hard
turns when it's low). There is a Bosch replacement for the Lucas fuel pump
which is worth using. The PI intake manifolds will NOT fit an early USA
cylinder head- the intake port spacing is different. The heads on later USA
cars are fine. The high compression head from the 2.5PI will obviously work
so just swap it if you can.
It's definitely worth the effort.
