>Simple continuity tests between parts of the different systems and

I know that my problem is in either the glove box/trunk/seat belt
circuit or the courtesy lamp circuit. The horn and hazard circuits
are fine. If I leave their connector hooked up to the fuse block,
but disconnect the other connector, then insert a fuse and connect
the battery, the fuse DOESN'T POP!! Yeah! Now we're gettin'
somewhere!

And now your horn and hazards should work fine. You might consider leaving
the trunk/golve box/seat belt wire off and forget about it. You really
don't need them anyway.
According to Dan's wiring diagram the left hand door switch switches the
+12 volts from the door switch to the key buzzer. If this switch has
broken up, it could cause a short to chassis which will cause the problem.
That's the first thing I would check.
Then check the hazard flasher. Unplug the purple wire from the flasher
unit and check for a short again.
Good luck
