I'm not sure what you are asking here.  The wiring harness does not
cross the engine bay at all, it only crosses the car in the passenger
compartment, under the dash.  On the driver's (LH) side, it comes
through the firewall at a largish hole, next to the heater connection. 
On the RH side, it comes through a hole right next to the fuse block and
control box.  This is on TS39781LO, post-60K cars may be different.
