After years of no side curtains, I had to do something. I was waiting
for the TRF winter sale and hoping for a lower price, but didn't want to
send the side curtains off when I needed them the most. I was messing around
with Amco after-market side curtains, but wasn't really impressed. I spent a
lot of time on them and wasn't really satisfied.
I went to True Value hardware, bought $12 in 1/8 inch Lucite and a
roller of weather stripping, and 2 hours later had working side curtains.
One still has vinyl on it, the other is bare metal and duct tape (only the
finest duct tape was used...). I might splurge and cover one with vinyl. I
am amazed at how well they are working, and now can get by until spring when
I send them to TRF for rebuilding.
The Amco ones will go on Ebay. I also have an extra set of new Amco
plexiglass windows if someone wants to work out something.
FWIW.
