I'm going to fix my (major) oil leak in the next few weeks. I plan on
either installing a speedi-sleeve or purchasing a new sealing ring
(can't remember the exact name, slips over the crank and provides the
surface that the seal lip rides on, costs $20 from TRF). I would like
to do this in the least invasive maner possible - with out removing the
timing cover ( since it does not leak!). Is either installing a
speedi-sleeve over the sealing ring or replacing the sealing ring
possible with out removing the timing cover? BTDT advice gladly
solicited - I've never played with a speedi-sleeve.
